The theme was to draw her character Alz along with her best friend's character Alina doing something together. I remembered reading somewhere that Alz isn't a big fan of pink and really doesn't like it when Alina goes overboard with the color, so in this image I guess Alina magically birthed the ability to produce sparkling pink hearts, I have no clue but Alz is all: "DO NOT WANT!!!!"

It's probably more then obvious that I tried a different approach with this, I was inspired a bit by the way that Allie colors her works, and I had read a few anime tutorials on how to do a more cell shaded look so I decided: "WTH? Try something different for once."
